Coram Specialty Infusion Services is opening a Wichita location.
The company, owned by Lake Forest, Calif.-based Apria Healthcare Group Inc., has signed a lease on 4,800 square feet at Northrock Business Park at K-96 highway and North Rock Road.
The company hopes to open its doors in early May, says Wanda Chamartin, area real estate manager for Apria.
“We’re on a real fast track to get it open,” she says.
It is Coram’s second stint in Wichita. The firm, which offers on-site infusion therapy services, had operated an office at Northrock until December 2009, Chamartin says.
It’s not clear why the company closed its doors, or why it’s opening them again. Chamartin referred the WBJ to a Coram representative for an answer to that question. A call for comment wasn’t immediately returned.
Nevertheless, the company plans to employ about 10 people in Wichita, Chamartin says. And it continues to like Northrock.
“I think they like that general area for the visibility. It’s got good access for any patients that come to the site,” Chamartin says.
The deal was brokered by Ross Way, of Anderson Management Co., and Cristi Howell, of J.P. Weigand & Sons Inc.
